About Us

Longridge Heritage Centre Trust was formed on 22nd August 2014, following a successful bid to the Charity Commission for charitable status.

The Trust currently has eighteen volunteer members, who are actively involved in running the Heritage Centre.

Five were also elected as Trustees at the inaugural meeting - these are Jean Hill (Chair), Andrew White (Secretary), David Dickens (Treasurer), Maxine Brunton and Denis Every. Trustees will be re-elected annually.

The Trust has two main objectives:

  • To advance the involvement and education of the public in the historical heritage of Longridge and its surrounding villages by:

Collecting and preserving artefacts and documents relating to the area;

Maintaining an up to date on-line photographic archive for Longridge;

Collecting and publishing associated information, including oral and written records;

Providing an educational resource by staging exhibitions, talks and other events.

  • To provide an open space / garden area to the benefit of the inhabitants of Longridge and its surrounding area.
