At the time of the sale of Dutton Manor Estate in 1919, the farm comprised of about 169 acres on a yearly tenancy of £110. The tithe rental was £3.17s.3d.

The photo is taken in 1902 at Preston Guild Traders Procession. The procession is passing the end of Barton Street (in Ribbleton Lane). Ribbleton Mill is in the far right distance, the mill was then later demolished in 1940.

39Cramp Oaks Mill ...

The mill was built in 1851 and closed in 1959. The photograph shows an aerial view of the mill, Longridge Railway Station and yard and part of Berry Lane.

A 'Gang Show' based on the Ralph Reader London Production, they were directed and the show was produced by Gilbert Pinder who was helped by some scouts from Preston. The event was staged in the Co-operative Hall in Berry Lane. The Scouts and Cubs were led by Nora Cowell of Little Lane and Bell Seed of Mersey Street.
